Introduction and Thesis Statement
- Briefly state your Phenomenon of Interest and introduce the selected Concept Analysis in one paragraph. A citation and reference should be included for the selected Concept Analysis article.
- Conclude the introductory paragraph with a direct thesis statement that informs the reader of your purpose, or primary objective of the paper
- Attach a copy of the selected concept analysis article
Concept Analysis Description
- Describe the origin of the theory, or the author’s purpose for conducting the concept analysis.
- Discuss the relevance of the Concept Analysis to your POI or specialty practice area.
- Discuss the transferability of the Concept Analysis to other phenomena of interests. The more widely the Concept Analysis can be applied, the greater its transferability.
- Provide at least three (3) peer-reviewed references.
Concept Appraisal
Critically appraise the Concept Analysis article, including the following elements:
- Discuss the procedures or elements included in the Concept Analysis, as described by Walker and Avant (2019).
- Discuss the defining attributes (hallmarks) of the concept and construct a Conceptual Map or word cloud of the defining attributes (hallmarks) relevant to your Phenomenon of Interest and include as an appendix:
- Support this section with at least three (3) peer-reviewed or scholarly references (excluding textbooks).
Impact of Concept Analysis
- Describe the impact of the Concept Analysis on how you view your POI.
- Discuss the usefulness of the Concept Analysis in understanding or predicting outcomes related to your selected POI.
- Describe the Concept Analysis implications for practice.
- Support this section with at least two (2) peer-reviewed or scholarly references (excluding textbooks).
