Research tells us that both negative and positive emotions can fuel creativity at work. Negative emotions are fertile ground for new ideas, in certain circumstances a bad mood can indicate to an individual that change is needed or there is more work that needs to be done. Similarly, happy workers are more likely to be cognitively flexible, to generate novel ideas and to persist at tasks all of which are important aspects of creativity (Ding elder, 2003). Describe something creative that you have done(Soccer preferred). Why do you consider it creative? Was there anything about the circumstances or unique to you that allowed you to be more creative? How can you bring creativity into your workplace (or home life if you are currently not working)? Discuss a specific example of a change that you could make to your daily functions/work environment that would bring creativity and inspiration to your position. What would be necessary to make this creative idea a reality? How do you feel it would impact your perspectives on your job and workplace environment? Make sure you respond to at least two of your classmates'´ posts and take full advantage of this opportunity to ask questions and share ideas.
