Poem compare and contrast

Write an essay that compares and contrasts two of the poems in the Perrine's text, or choose one
from Perrine and one from an outside source, which may include song lyrics. Focus on theme and how
style relates to sense. If you choose to use a poem or lyrics outside the textbook, you are expected to
submit a copy of the text with the essay, submitted through BlackBoard in a separate document. Review
page 7 in LSSS, "Papers of Comparison and Contrast," before writing your essay. Make sure that you have
a specific, significant thesis; use supporting quotations, correctly cited; and follow MLA formatting. The
pupose of this essay is to compare and contrast two poems. The audience for this essay is a general
audience. The tone/diction/style is an explanatory tone/diction/style where comparing and contrasting ideas
occurs. The two poems that you will have to compare and contrast are "The Lamb" and "The Tiger” by
William Blake. | will provide the URL to the two poems in the additional materials. For the in text and work
cited citations | will fill in the blanks but please cite examples from the poems.
