Order Description
The assignment accounts for 50% of the course assessment
and should be no more than 1500 words in length. The assignment discuss at least two main themes from the
lectures and in the second part, you should draw out the
implications of these learning points for managers operating in
an increasingly global and complex world. You may find it
helpful to use additional appendices (which are not subject to
word count limits) to support your discussion.
Structure for the Assignment
! The structure is entirely up to you but must include:
! Evidence on having engaged with and critically reflected on
aspects of the two topics from the module:
! A brief introduction (approx. 100 words)
! Critical theoretical discussion of the academic literature on the
two topics chosen from the CSR syllabus (approx. 1000 words)
! The management implications of your topics in the ‘real’ world
(to do this you may find it helpful to focus in depth on an
industrial sector or product, or country or specific organisation;
the choice is yours.) (approx. 400 words)
! Appendices (not included in the word count)

! The assessment criteria include:
! Demonstrates independent, critical and reflective thinking
on chosen CSR topics in an international management
context
! Critical discussion and evaluation of the theoretical
perspectives of the two topics chosen demonstrating
awareness and understanding of the literature
! Managerial implications exploring the potential practical
implications of applying your theoretical findings within a
specific international context
! Clarity of expression, accurate referencing (Harvard) and
structure
