Topic: Personal Statement Order Description Personal Statement for Medical Residency application. I am currently a medical student at a Caribbean medical school. In this personal statement I would like to discuss > Why I chose medicine (to serve, noble with decent lifestyle, lifelong learner, teach community) > Why I would like to go into Family Medicine/ Rural Medicine (to serve where the need is the greatest, demographics include patients of all ages and pregnant women, be able to deliver babies, perform minor procedures as needed, reduce ER visits) > Strengths that would make me a good match for residency programs (good work ethics, team player, willingness to learn) > I would also like to mention that it has taken me longer than 4 years to complete my education (took time off to study for USMLE Step 1).
