A brief description of myself:
I am currently a Junior at UCR. I transferred from Riverside City College where I had a 3.7. I completed my first quarter at UCR with a 4.0. I am majoring in MTSS (Mathematics Teacher for Secondary School). I want to be a high school math teacher. I am 29, married, with a 3 year old son. It has taken me FOREVER to finish school because I worked full time and went to school part time. But I am now able to just be a student and am attending full time. My biggest issue when writing essays like this is my lack of campus and community involvement, leadership and challenges. The only activities I have completed outside of school are tutoring friends and family. Other than that my life is just taking care of my family. Any outside community involvement would simply take away from the time I get with my son and school already takes enough of that time away. I have worked in an elementary school classroom and high school classroom, but these were requirements of classes I took at the colleges. I guess my only challenges would be staying motivated to finish since I have been attending college since 2005 and am barely obtaining my bachelor's degree in 2018. (Due to putting work first). As far as leadership qualities, I have none, but if something could be added to the essay, that would be great!
let me know if you need any additional information about myself since it is a personal essay.
