People with a disability

1.Mostly, people with a disability do not have adequate social and recreational outlets thus limiting them to attend to some important recreational activities. To get the person get involved in society is not an easy task. The person has to use their wheelchairs for mobility purposes; they cannot involve themselves in some games and sports in the community centers.

Many people with disabilities do not use wheelchairs. What are the barriers to them being involved in community centers? How could you assist them?

2.It is even hard to access some of these facilities since they do not have important amenities for such people. To help such an individual it is good to first understand their interests away from the common recreation activities for the normal people.

Do you mean that their interests should be separate from or different from those of “normal” people?

  1. It is good to consider the physical limitations of a person to understand their ability and inability. Understanding such abilities will help place the individual where they belong.
