Pedagogical Statement about INDIGENOUS EDUCATION *Purpose: As one of the Australian Curriculum’s cross-curriculum priorities is ‘Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories and cultures’ this assessment provides students with the opportunity to demonstrate their understanding of this teaching requirement. Students will also gain a deeper understanding of the importance of embedding Indigenous perspectives in units of work and the ATSIL standards relating to Indigenous students *Process: Students are to provide a 500 word pedagogical statement on the importance of embedding Indigenous perspectives in units of work.
