Peak hour volume

Peak hour volume We are 3 people in this project, the project is calculating the “Peak Hour” for 6 intersection around the campus, and we want to see how the cars and the pedestrian are Intersects with each other, especially that there are a lot of students walk around and to-from the campus. - 6 intersection - We count the cars and the pedestrian that cross the intersections. - For each intersection we count in 3 times periods, the cars & pedestrian: * Morning, from 7:30am till 9:30am, divides into 8 periods, every 15 min. * Noon, from 11:00am till 1:00 pm, divides into 8 periods, every 15 min. * After noon, from 4:00pm till 6:00pm, divides into 8 periods, every 15 min. - For the pedestrian we even count whoever cross with the walking signal light and whoever cross without the signal. We call them “Compliant & Non-Compliant”. -We also count the time for the signal light for the pedestrian, to know if we should make any suggestions later for the pedestrian’s benefit. -After we done counting all the cars. We applied the equation for the Peak Hour on each time period, by taking the 4 Highest numbers on that period. (Peak Hour Factor) PHF = - We added 6 data charts for each intersection showing the volume of the cars and the pedestrian in the 3 times periods combined in a raw.
