Page to Film Characterization

Essay #1
In a cogent, coherent written essay, write about the movement of two different characters from the page to the screen. You will pick two pair of books/movies, and you will discuss and analyze how those characters from literature were interpreted in a film. How much of the written character resembles the film character? What changed when a character was moved from the pages of a novel to the frame of the motion picture screen?
What stayed the same? Why do you think the filmmakers made their choices when interpreting the character on film?
