Organizational/Activation effects

The organizational hypothesis has been a dominant concept in behavioral endocrinology for many decades.
However, in some cases the effects of hormones on behavior do not neatly fit into organizational or
activation categories. Discuss an example where hormones have documented effects on behavior in a
manner that does not completely fit the classic organizational/activation distinction. You should clearly
describe how it differs from other examples that do fit into organizational effects and activation effects. What
are the implications of your example for the organizational hypothesis? Should we discard this framework?
Modify it? Or is the concept of the organizational hypothesis rigorous enough to handle such exceptions?
