On the chosen topic and company you are required to:
• Provide background information regarding the company including size, business type, areas of operations, competitors etc.
• Provide detailed information about the chosen topic. For example if you choose ‘quality’ you need to discuss about the type of process used in the company, quality practices used in the company, commitment level of different organizational levels toward quality, is there any detection, prevention or improvement processes in the company, how company measures its quality etc. The company should be based in Australia or have branch or affiliation in Australia.
• Collect real data for the chosen topic and then show the current status of the company in the chosen topic. For example if your topic is MRP you need to discuss about bill of material, master schedule, inventory status file, lot size, lead time, and more important cost of MRP etc. You must contact the company
• Provide solution to improve the performance and also efficiencies of the operations in the company. Please be advised that your report must contain a comparative analysis and not just describing the current practices in the company. In other word you need to compare the existing and current practices with the model/ practices that you are proposing in your report.
