normal real life phenomena

The paper should show how the various learning phenomena discussed in readings, lecture and enrichment sections are likely to contribute to your own behavior on a day to day basis.  You have great flexibility in your topic choice; anything that exemplifies normal real-life phenomena is OK. The paper will be evaluated on how thoroughly and accurately it reflects the course material as well as how novel your approach to the topic is.  The ideal paper will describe a singe, real-life, episode that illustrates several different learning phenomena. Also, a good paper will do more than simply restate examples given in the text, lectures or sections.  The paper should not be a highly contrived situation that simply duplicates an experiment covered in class.  Experiments are designed to isolate and discover processes.  Those same processes operate in the real world, but obviously the real world is more complex and not a good experiment.
