Niccolo Machiavelli's The Prince

This paper will consist of an argument that you create based on your reading of Niccolo Machiavelli’s The Prince.
Choose one of the following possibilities:

1. Pick one of Machiavelli’s theories and explain how a modern day leader (stick to leaders from the 20th and 21st centuries) has effectively used or is effectively using that theory of leadership. Be sure that you understand Machiavelli's theory quite well and quote and/or refer to it accurately and without bias.
2. Select a particular candidate running for election in 2019 or 2020 (national, state, or local office) and explain how that person should adopt a policy or policies from Machiavelli to win that office. Be specific about how the candidate should apply Machiavelli’s policy or policies to modern American politics.
3. Pick one of Machiavelli’s theories and explain how people in fields other than politics might use that theory for their own benefit. Consider business, athletics, education, law, or even personal relationships as possible fields.
