Capstone Essay – Required for all and I will look for evidence of prior preparation via details, examples and thoughtful analysis.

Over the course of the semester we have examined not only the earth science related side of some current topics but the decision-making process related to policy. I’d like you to reflect back on two of the student led- case studies or classroom examples and compare and contrast them by analyzing the following 1) what are some scientific questions or predictions raised in the discussion of this topic, 2) what are some social/economic issues raised in the discussion of this topic and 3) are there any similarities in these issues (both scientific and social/economic) when comparing across the two case studies? Why did you pick these case studies to review?
