Narrative Paradigm and Culture

One of the rhetorical challenges for ANY narrative paradigm is CULTURE.

Please revisit your own papers ( Essay I OR Essay II), revisit the artifact analyzed, and examine the following:

  • what is the narrative line (story) for the respective artifact?
  • is there a cultural challenge for audiences from other cultures, sub-cultures or international groups?
  • Select 2 (two) examples from the website or from the video/website used to explain how the how this artifact restricts (or not) the audience. In other words, let's say "American Red Cross" ad presented for American audience to donate money for Bahamas Hurricane Fund contains clearly an appeal to American people, using familiar language, brevity of message, and a short donation appeal.

Can this be different if done for a different nation? Think from the standpoint of the creators of messages, of the narratives that try to influence audiences.
