Narrative essay on experience with food

A narrative essay is a good opportunity for storytelling and self-expression. While we will be zoning in on the
social and political conversations surrounding what and how we eat, I don’t want to forget about the real spirit
of food--the way it oftentimes represents culture, its role in bringing people together, the creativity of putting
together a meal.
For your very first essay, take the opportunity to share an experience you have with food. It could be funny,
sad, lighthearted, or any other emotion. It could be a life-changing moment for you, or something that
represents a classic meal experience. Tell a story where food is the main event!
