I’d like to explore this further by opening up a discussion on your personal experience with this phenomenon. Are there any particular songs that you “identify” with? Think back to certain moments in your life. Do you associate certain songs with particular people, places or events? The textbook authors discuss how “a song or a singer’s voice may suddenly transport you back to a specific moment and place in your life.” (p. 10) Has this ever happened to you?
