I am the first member of my family to graduate from college, a first generation college st udent, and come from very humble beginnings. From an early age, my parents instilled in me a penchant for hard work and an insatiable drive to achieve my career and life objectives, two qualities that have greatly contributed to my success. I am very excited at the prospect of joining the Army Medical Service Corps. ​Continuously learning to improve as a fair, charismatic leader and a great team player will always be an important part of my life. I think these two skills are integral to success in a healthcare leadership position in the Army. I have a myriad past experiences in leadership roles and working in team that make me a good candidate for a leadership position in the Army. I have learned to work well under time constraints with people of different personalities and to make compromises for the good of the team. I have learned that in order to work well in a team, it is important to understand the strengths and weaknesses of each team member, including oneself. As an Army Pharmacist, I would draw upon these new experiences in order to contribute as an effective team member, while building new skills as well. This process of continuous growth has served as a guide throughout my life and it’s something I truly value. always wanted to serve my country and give back because it has given so much to my family and I. Army Medical Service Corps is a winning team that I want to be a part of. As a commissioned officer I will conduct myself as such at all times.
