Marketing Plan

This report should be started the first day of class, and should be updated throughout the duration of the course. This is your chance to identify all of the work you have done during the semester. It will allow you to illustrate the individual work you contributed to each group project, explain what you took away from each assignment, and provide you with a tool for reflecting upon what you could have done better. Your grade will be based on your ability to incorporate the entire semester in one report, and we will use the Written Communication Rubric posted on Canvas to assess your grade.

You should focus your efforts on describing how you are now able to:

(1) Display a comprehensive understanding of sports consumers

(2) Understand and apply the sports marketing mix

(3) Demonstrate their ability to manage sport marketing employees

(4) Create new product ideas based on current trends in the sport tourism industry.

(5) Synthesize basic marketing concepts, and create innovative promotional strategies for sports products

(6) Discern, evaluate, and make informed decisions regarding the distribution of marketing materials for specific industry niches.

(7) Understanding of implementation of the strategic sports marketing process

Describe in detail, and provide examples of each in your report.

Each marketing plan MUST also include the following elements for EACH project, as well as all the additional work you have completed during the semester:

What aspects you enjoyed the most about each project
YOUR creative ideas – used or unused ideas
How you performed in each presentation. What would you have done better
What worked with your projects
What didn’t work, and why – how would change it now?

What can you now do, based on your experience with this project

Provide a rationale for why you have selected these teams:
Which focus markets/regions are the teams located?
How do the team(s) metrics compare to the respective league/other local team numbers?
Has the team(s) had any major contributing factors/events.
Make sure to be very specific in answering these questions. Update this report regularly, as fresh ideas make for easy writing. Do not lose this report. Back it up multiple times if you have to. Include as much information as possible, and only use this list as a guide of minimum suggestions. Your creativity and reflective thoughts should make this an enjoyable learning process all about YOU. There is no minimum/maximum length for this project.
