The requirements for the introduction:
(a) You need your own research questions (why you chose the paper or topic)
(b) You need your own research (case study) methodology (not the authors’ methodology).

  1. The requirement for the literature review:
    (a) This is just the theoretical facts to back up your topic.
    (b) Every case study needs a theoretical background --- (from the paper and your textbook).
    (c) You need to link the case study paper’s theory to what your textbook mentioned on the
topic that you are reviewing or case studying. For example, you can argue that the paper either have or do not have the same view points as the book; and back this up with one or two citations.
  2. The requirement for facts or economy that in-validate the universal application of theory being case study:
    (a) This is just to make you think out of the box.
    (b) Note: Theories are not universally applicable to all the countries of the world.
    (c) Search for an article that contradicts what your case studied paper says.
  3. The requirement for the data:
    (a) (b)
Data to back up your topic.
Data is a numerical table from your paper that you case studied.
Without data; there is no analysis and Discussion; and there is no Conclusion.
You cannot analyze or discuss the data that you did not have or presented in the paper.
    (c)
    (d) Withoutdata,youcannotconcludeanything.
  4. The requirement for the analysis and discussion:
    (a) This is just a mere explanation of the data that you provided in your paper.
    (b) You Do not just copy the authors’ analysis, discussions, and explanations of their data.
    (c) Just explain the data you presented in your write-up; you are free to agree or disagree
with the author of the paper being reviewed; just clearly state your personal views.
  5. The requirement for the conclusion:
    (a) This is just the summary of your analysis and discussion.
    (b) You are free to express your own opinion in this section.
  6. The requirement for the reference:
You need only three references: (a) the paper you case studied; (b) paper which shows that the theory in your C.S. paper is not universally applicable in the world; (c) your textbook.
  7. The requirement for the power point presentation:
    (a) You need power point slides of not more than 4 slides; submit these with your write-up.

Additional Requirements
The new supplementary (additional) requirements for C.S. 2 are as follows:

  1. The change in the submission date is to enable us to cover more class chapters.
  2. Failure to submit a copy of the reviewed paper is automatic zero (0) grade for C.S. 2.
  3. Your reviewed paper needs to have, or generate, a numerical table from the paper.
  4. Part IV (Data section) of your write-up is just a “copy and paste data assignment” from your reviewed paper into your “write-up” paper.
  5. Published working papers are acceptable as reviewed papers to the limit of 25 pages.
  6. 25 pages is the maximum pages acceptable for a reviewed paper; any paper over 25 pages will result in zero (0) grade for C.S. 2.
  7. Part III of the write-up outline would not be varied or made bonus at this time. It is alright not to have a paper which says that the chapter’s theory which you had chosen is not universally application; but you need to discuss a situation where the theory is not universally applicable.
