Live concert review

Review a previous live concert you have attended. The concert MUST be a symphonic work, operatic

work, or musical. School concerts will not count unless the student concert is from EPCC or UTEP, and

you may not do a report on a concert you were involved in if you are a musician yourself.
If you have not attended a live concert of this capacity, then you may do a concert report on one of the
following works we have studied in the slides (right click to open in a separate tab):
Allegri: Miserere Mei Deus
Bach: Brandenburg Concerto No. 3
Vivaldi: The Four Seasons (Choose 1 or more):
Spring
Summer
Autumn
Winter
Mozart: Eine Kleine Nachtmusik
Mozart: Symphony No. 40 in G minor
Mozart: Requiem
Beethoven: Symphony No. 5 in C minor
Beethoven Moonlight Sonata
Grieg: Peer Gynt Suite
Mendelssohn: Violin Concerto in E minor
Mendelssohn: Symphony No. 4; The Italian
Dvořák: Symphony No. 9: From the New World
As mentioned, be sure to right click to open the links, otherwise Blackboard will not open it.
As far as what to write, it's very simple. First, format your report in MLA style and include the following:
Paragraph I: Name the piece(s), performers, venue, and date the concert was performed.
Paragraph II: Provide a brief researched overview of the piece(s), when the piece(s) was written and why

or for whom or for what occasion, etc.
Paragraph III: Try to incorporate as much class vocabulary as possible. I understand you can't use all the
vocabulary so try to at least include some terms and concepts.
Paragraph IV: Describe the concert going experience (in this case just the experience), the music, the
instrumentation, each movement, and your personal overall reaction.
