write a letter to the editor to advocate for the change you would like to see in your chosen policy area for this semester’s Advocacy Project. Follow the steps below to research and write your letter.

1. Choose the newspaper or publication that you want to submit to. This should be a publication that accepts letters to the editor in real life.
2. Write your letter to the editor.
3. Post your letter to this discussion board.
   o In addition to the letter itself, include the link to the publication’s instructions for submitting a letter to the editor. For an example, review the Rapid City Journal Submit a Letter to the Editor page (Link will open in new tab.) (Links to an external site.). This is Dr. Lane’s hometown newspaper!
   o If you can’t find the guidelines, include the link to the page within the publication where letters to the editor are published, and use the guidelines outlined on the Unit 6 Lecture Part 3, Letters to the Editor page.
