Order Description
The lesson plan integration project should demonstrate proficiency in fusing the Arts into other content areas such as Reading, Language Arts, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies. The lesson plan should be based upon Florida Core Standards if it is designed for K-12. Otherwise, early childhood benchmarks are acceptable. The lesson objective/goal should be a clear statement of student expectations. Vocabulary that support student understanding should be explicitly identified and taught in the lesson. Activities must be clearly articulated and the final assessment described in detail (a copy may be included as a separate attachment).
A copy of the final student product should be captured electronically through a scan, copy or picture. Please include a follow-up assignment either through a center activity or as a homework assignment. You may want to consider making a homework assignment a family activity. Proper use of conventions, spelling and a well written lesson plan are expected. The integration component is assessed on how well the Arts support the main concept being taught.
Special Note: Any lesson plan template may be used for this assignment.
