Aim The aim of this assessment is to prepare a report which identifies the characteristics of effective project leaders, informed by the academic literature.
Assessment objectives On completion of this assignment you should be able to:
(i) Conduct a literature review of relevant material to identify what researchers have found constitutes effective project leadership.
(ii) Prepare a report which identifies the characteristics of an effective project leader in the project context.
(iii) Create a clear argument supported by citations from the academic literature.
This assessment task covers Course Learning Outcomes 1, 2, 3, 5.
• Analyse the implications of project success or failure
• Identify project management leadership strategy which effectively responds to the dynamics and challenges inherent in project management
• Analyse how project leaders can facilitate effective stakeholder management
• Identify the competencies, drivers and inhibitors of effective project management leadership practices
