John Lewis and his leadership qualities in March Book One
Order Description
- Choose and Analyze one specific short passage (2-3 pages) from the first 61 pages of March Book
One (don’t analyze all 61 pages)
- Develop (and state by the end of the first paragraph- the introduction) a main thesis about how
these pages relate to the leadership qualities Lewis developed at an early age.
- Be sure to insert the specific panels from March Book One that you are analyzing into your essay;
this will be the primary visual evidence source to support what you say in your analysis.
- Refer to some of the visual techniques Nate Powell uses to help convey Lewis’s experiences
- Have at least two sources in your Works Cited list; March Book One, of course, and one additional
source related to the book--the interview with Nate Powell, the New Georgia Encyclopedia entry on
Lewis, the Clifton StrengthsFinder Quick Reference Card, etc.
