Issues of American identity

Select a topic that is connected to issues of American identity, immigration, assimilation, or race and write an essay defending a specific point of view in regards to that topic. Must formulate an argumentative thesis statement and support this thesis with clear and detailed evidence. At least one of the three referenced sources must be deemed scholarly.
