Inventing a rhetorical situation

Invent a specific rhetorical situation and produce a text that is appropriate for that situation and relevant to the course theme. During this process, you will select a purpose you want to achieve, an audience you want to address, and a context you want to work within. You will also choose a suitable genre for this rhetorical situation and explore its conventions so that you know them well. In order to inform yourself about your rhetorical situation, you will read sources critically to learn about rhetorical context, which may include social, economic, historical, and/or political matters.
