Introduction to the Visual Arts

  Choose one category from each of the three chapters listed below- Then choose two art examples from each of the categories- Compare and contrast the examples you have chosen- Include all of the following in you' paper- Clearly identify the examples of art you have chosen from each chapter with the title, artist, page number and figu'e number- ldentify the subject matter and the medium in each example- Describe how it is similar and/or different from the other examples you have chosen- Respond to these questions in you paper: Do you see connections between the art? Did the artists influence one another or were they influenced by another style of art? Where the artists reflecting society at the time? If so, in what way?
