This is exactly the instructions my professor gave: Applied Summary Paper:
Choose one important relationship in your life that requires interpersonal communication. Analyze this relationship using concepts, theories and ideas from your readings, class activities, discussions and videos.
Secondly, provide suggestions for how you think you might improve interpersonal communication in this relationship - again taking into consideration readings, class discussions and activities.
You may be creative in the way that you approach this analysis/paper. The goal would be that it would be useful for you to look more deeply into your own communication in this relationship and that it might be an enlightening experience for you.
The book we used in class is called Looking out/looking in by Ronald B alder and Russell F Proctor

The relationship I was going to choose was the with my mom, we have a pretty good relationship, I was just going to to use some of the concepts from the test book to talk about our relationship.
I am attaching some excerpts from the book as well as handouts we got in class. If you can just go based off those concepts for this paper that would be great.
