Interdisciplinary

Analyze one (or perhaps two) of our readings using ideas imported from another discipline. This is an opportunity to connect our work in this class with issues you’ve explored in your major or in another class. For example, what you’ve learned about Adam Smith in economics might illuminate a class-oriented reading; what you’ve learned about social structures in sociology might link to a race-oriented reading; what you’ve learned about historical gender roles in a history class could contribute to a gender-oriented approach. This paper will require secondary research, and will be 5-7 pages (1250-1750 words) long. You will need to establish your framework, and then analyze the literary text from the disciplinary perspective.
