Integrative case report

Description

Assessment Task 3 will comprise a Case Report on a pre-assigned Integrative Case study. In your brief report of 4000 words, please provide a brief summary of the case, identifying the key change management issues and present your analyses and recommendations (Please refer to Marking Criteria for detailed assessment information). Students are expected to base their analyses of the case on all the concepts as discussed in class in addition to the assigned readings. Students are also expected to consider formative feedback as received from the tutor during their Case Presentations and Group Discussions.

Assessment of the Case Report will be based on the following criteria:

  1. INTRODUCTION (10 MARKS)

• What is the case about? Provide facts about the case.
• Discuss the main factors/forces driving the need for change
• When identifying these issues, use relevant information provided by the case study

  1. DIAGNOSING THE PROBLEMS AND ANALYZING THE CASE (25 MARKS)

• Identifying and analyzing the problems, challenges, and issues specific to change management as found in the case
• Identify the enablers and blocks of change
• Apply relevant theoretical frameworks and scholarly literature to analyze the case

  1. RECOMMENDATIONS (15 MARKS)

• As a manager, suggest what can the organizations do to manage the changes?
• Discuss how the change process could have been managed better. What kinds of organizational interventions can be introduced for managing the changes?
• Recommendations must be based on key issues as identified in your analyses and supported by key themes in change literature
