  1. Question 1: Using the examples presented for displaying an image in Matlab together with those for accessing pixel locations, investigate adding and subtracting a scalar value from an individual location, i.e. WM= 1(i,j)+2$ and i(i,fit i(i,j)-25. Start by using the grayscale %aid’ example image and pixel location 1(100,20). What is the effect on the greyscale color of adding and subtracting?
  2. Based on your answer to Question 1, use the “for” construct in Matlab to loop over all the pixels in the image and brighten or darken the image.
  3. The following 5-bit small image small image has gray values in the range 0 to 19. Draw the histogram corresponding to these gray levels and then perform the contrast stretching and draw the resulting histogram and small image with new gray values.

  4. Apply the histogram equalization to the image shown above and draw resulting histogram ans small image with new gray value.
