Identity development

Examine your worldview and identity development utilizing as a framework theory or theories of identity development. Paper must include: 1. Review of the relevant theory of theories based on scholarly works [e.g.. The Journal of Counseling and Development and The Journal of Counseling Psychology] 2. Examination of how the selected theory fits and does not fit with your life experience by providing specific examples from your life. Be sure to discuss your cultural background by looking at behavior, expectations, and your values regarding: gender, family issues, politics etc. 3. Assessment of your multicultural counseling competencies identifying aspects of your worldview or values that bias your counseling interventions. 4. Description of specific steps you will take to minimize any potential negative impacts of the above mentioned biases. 5. The final section of the paper will discuss what insights you have gained as a result of this assignment. Please include a minimal of 8 sources.
