  Evaluate the speech because after all analysis involves evaluating different entities of a piece of writing. Why is the speech powerful? Is the speech based on values? Is it a speech from the heart? Is it a speech based on character? Or is it a speech based on facts? Does the power of King's speech come from these different appeals or does it come in some aspects from his use of figurative language? How does King connect with his audience today as well as when he delivered the speech almost 50 years ago?
