A. Describe a recent visit to a museum, historical-society, monument, church, synagogue, mosque or other “sacred” place (must be in Illinois) and relate the visit to the content of our course; OR
If you are describing a recent visit (option “a”)
a. Describe the location and any relevant history of the location (when built/founded, etc.) and/or artifacts that are most significant.
b. Summarize what our course materials say about the location and/or any important artifacts. If the location/artifacts do not appear in our materials, provide at least one source that does reference the subject of your paper, and summarize any materials regarding the subject of your paper.
c. What peoples/cultures (religious and/or social) ever considered the location/artifacts to be important? How do/did they communicate this importance?
d. Discuss what you personally found to be most important about the location/artifacts and explain why you think they are important.
