Read Case 2 in the Tanglewood Casebook. Multiply the percentage from the transaction probability matrix by the current workforce (total) for each position. Once you do that for the entire matrix, add each column to get the year end totals for each position. Determine total external hires needed by subtracting year end total for each position from the current workforce for each position.
