Second, I believe that nurses have a responsibility to advocate for their patients. This means speaking up when I see something that is wrong, and it means working to ensure that patients have access to the care they need. Third, I believe that nurses have a responsibility to be lifelong learners. This means staying up-to-date on the latest medical advances, and it means being open to new ideas and ways of doing things. These values and beliefs have helped me to develop a professional identity as a nurse who is compassionate, caring, and knowledgeable. I am proud to be a nurse, and I am committed to providing the best possible care to my patients.
