The next author to be introduced in this course is the renowed Homer. Read a bit about him on page 105 and then read Book 1 of The Iliad on pages 106 - 112.
Try to do a close reading of this story and be sure to take note of the narrative and the tensions simmering beneath the surface.
An "internal conflict" is a struggle within a character's mind. Describe at least one internal conflict in Book 1 of The Iliad.
