Since the 1750s to the present, Ho Chi Minh City is the economic, entertainment, administrative, and educational center of Vietnam. It is also the biggest and wealthiest city in Vietnam where some of the best Universities as well as some of biggest and tallest buildings in Asia
are located. Therefore, it is of no surprise that Ho Chi Minh city was named the Pearl of Asia.

In the past, agriculture is the primary economic sector of Vietnam. In contrast to most of the country, Ho Chi Minh City is a land of economic development, entertainment, fashion, and foreigner would come from around the world to witness this beauty. Ho Chi Minh City received a huge number of immigrants from every city in Vietnam because this is the main hub of Vietnam’s economy.

First of all, there are a huge demand for workers of industries, engineering, marketing and services. Therefore, there’s more employment opportunities in Ho Chi Minh City. For example, in the year 2000 the unemployment rate of Vietnam is over thirty percent. But in 2018, the number of unemployed people accounted for only twelve percent. There was a decreased of almost twenty percent in a span eight years all due to the economic contribution of Ho Chi Minh City. In addition to that, the average salary of workers in Ho Chi Minh City is higher than that of other from other cities in Vietnam. For example, the average salary of employees in Ho Chi Minh City is approximately 456 USD / month (about 10.3 million VND / month). This translates to thirty-eight percent higher than the national average. Therefore, the city’s economy continued to maintain good growth and a leading position in the national economy of the economy.

Secondly, Ho Chi Minh has the most advanced and developed education system in the country. Most families with strong economic conditions often send their children to study at schools in Ho Chi Minh City because of the abundance of international schools there. In addition, Ho Chi Minh City is also where some of the top Universities in Asia are located. For instance, after I graduated high school in Vietnam, I moved to Ho Chi Minh to study at Lotus university which is one of the top ranked university in
Vietnam. They have foreign professors, and I was educated in a professional and modern environment. Therefore, Ho Chi Minh is a center of higher education system in Vietnam. It immensely contributes to the demand for socio-economic development of the country.

Finally, Ho Chi Minh is the center of entertainments and services. This is the city where people want to live in Vietnam. Ho Chi Minh not only attracts tourists with attractive and unique places to visit, it also has special delicacies from many regions of Vietnam and a great nightlife atmosphere for those seeking a fun night out. It is also known as the best shopping paradise in the country with many high-end brands from around the world. For example, Ben Thanh Market, Landmark 81, VINCOM center and Nguyen Hue street walking street are some of the iconic places here. Landmark 81, which is the tallest tower in Vietnam with an investment of approximately 1.4 billion USD, is the ultimate shopping paradise with many department stores and restaurants. Because of that Ho Chi Minh City has attracted hundreds of thousands of migrants annually. These migrants contribute immensely to the development of the economy, education, entertainment, and services to this city. Every year, Ho Chi Minh City has received a large number of migrants throughout the country to the city to study, work and live because of the strong economy that’s creating hundreds of thousands of jobs for migrants, eliminating unemployment. Ho Chi Minh is also the city that has some of the richest people and investors in Vietnam. This city opens up many opportunities for many talented individuals across the country. Therefore, people migrate here for personal purposes and needs. This is the golden city of Vietnam where people can have the best opportunity for success.
