Advocacy organizations are important participants in the policy process (Adam & Kriesi, 2007). Political action groups and the lobbying process must present a unified position regarding the policy issue. Thus, in selecting your advocacy partners, you need to assess their organizational missions and values to assure that they are congruent with the health policy you wish to pursue.
