ATTACHMENTS 1. Site Plan 2. Building Elevations 3. Roof Plan 4. LEED Score Card partially filled out 5. Project Budget partially filled out 6. Project Schedule partially filled out
INSTRUCTIONS
Prepare a classroom presentation. At minimum include the following: A. Power Point or other Interactive Presentation Format B. LEED Score Card completed – how many total points achieved? C. Project Schedule completed – what is your completion date? D. Placement of suggest equipment on the roof and/or site E. Financial Solution – what is your final budget?
This would include the following:
a. Cost per each LEED item you moved from “pending” to “yes”. b. Loaded General Conditions costs based on your project duration c. Your overall Budget completion d. Calculation showing an individual RIO’s and your TOTAL of 7 years for all the LEED items moved from “pending” to “yes”. MUST PROVIDE A MATRIX SHOWING RESULTS (See Example)
F. Actual Presentation suggestions: a. Introduction of your construction company and team members b. Provide an Agenda
c. Discuss your completed LEED Score Card. Use the Score Card detail for any narrative you desire. d. Present your final schedule and completion date e. Review your completed budget and final cost f. Discuss your assumptions and qualifications including your ROI calculations AND matrix. g. Submit a written Handouts of your presentation and an electronic version h. Use boards or other graphics if you desire but the main presentation will be power point or like.
Specific Instruction: 1. Plans (these can be either power point or actual sheet(s) a. Prepare a site plan showing: • Buildings (as currently shown) • Proposed Landscaping • Proposed connection to public transportation • Show proposed site fixed equipment such as cooling tower, co-gen, central plant, PV array, Storm Water collection. • Building roofs showing any proposed mechanical units, wind turbans, micro turbans or PV array. NOTE each building has a FIXED 8,000 square feet (shown in blue) that must be held for other roof misc. equipment (exhaust fans, condensing units, roof hatch, etc.) and cannot be used for anything else.
b. Building elevations (use one building as typical if all the same) showing: • Any solar shading, wind turbines or anything else you propose
c. Building Floor Plan • Show changing/shower room. If you pick this item identify the location of the bike racks and show rooms that are the same widths as the restroom and 8 feet deeper.
NOTE: If you eliminate any parking stalls for added site items, ADD to your budget $5,000 per stall per year for 10 years for lost revenue. (Include in budget).
- Complete Schedule To be provided
Provide durations (shop drawings/submittals, fabrication, installation) in the schedule for the following: a. Your mechanical equipment choice. b. If you choose PV, or other energy resources c. Use timeframes provided
- Complete Budget. The budget has two tabs on the Work Sheet: “Summary” and “Budt Detail”. DO NOT CHANGE THE BUDGET FORMULAS OR ANY OTHER NUMBER EXCEPT THE NUMBERS HIGHLIGHTED. Fill in all the “yellow” highlighted items per your choice of the below selected items. • BUDGET MUST NOT EXCEED $80,000,000. • Add a construction CONTINGENCY of 3% of your total construction costs. • CONSTRUCTION GENERAL CONDITIONS: Your General Conditions will be based on $35,600 per week. Once you complete your schedule calculate your GC’s and then divide by 4 and insert the number under each building. • COMMISSIONING AGENT: Provide cost per building for your 3rd Party required Commissioning Agent. Cost will be $.0008 times your project total. • ENERGY CONSULTANT: The Owner is requiring you to provide an Energy Consultant. Cost will be $0.10 of your LEED Water & Energy added costs.
- Complete LEED Score Card. ONLY CHANGE THE CREDITS NOTED “?”. For all the “?” credits you moved to “Y” use the following criteria: NOTES: 1. Treat the four buildings as ONE project (i.e. a single point credit only gets one point total).
- Provide a table showing all RIO calculations and prove costs are within the 7 years.
- Transfer all your added costs to the budget – Per LEED category and by building. (Refer to tab “Budget Detail”.
- For single cost items, include them in Building One.
- Use 25,000 square feet (SF) of Solar Panels per building if you choose that option.
- Assume central plant will occupy 4,000 SF. Assume Cogen plant will occupy 2,500 SF. Cooling tower 600 SF.
- If you desire to install a parking structure, assume $45,000 per stall for construction costs. (Include in budget sheet).
