Order Description Gaining public health funding is often a challenge. Public health nurses may be tasked with helping write grants because they have an in-depth understanding of the needs of populations and clinical knowledge to articulate how those needs can be met. Write a grant proposal to attempt to gain funding. Your assignment should include: Cover letter (include summary of the proposed program) Narrative Evaluation of the community, including demographics, chronic and infectious disease incidence/prevalence rates, socioeconomic status, and community strengths and weaknesses. Problem statement Description of issue or need to be addressed by proposed program Supporting facts and documentation of need for the proposed program Project description Description of proposed program Target population and number of people to be served Project goals Community partnerships and their role Explanation of how the program is not duplicating current services within the community.
