What is the evidence from the case that Google values diversity or understands the importance of diversity?
The text identifies five areas where discrimination in employment is most common – recruitment, selection,
compensation, upward mobility and evaluation. In your opinion, how is Google doing in these areas?
The text discusses Affirmative Action (AA) and defines what it means – planned special efforts to recruit, hire
and promote women and members of minority groups. How would you assess or describe Google’s AA
programs?
In your opinion, is the glass ceiling still alive and well at Google or has Google satisfactorily addressed the
issue?

Chapter 6 discusses diversity and global leadership and the importance of not adopting a one-size-fits-all
solution or leadership style. In your opinion, should Google should be concerned about this? Explain.
Also, in Chapter 6, we discussed Developing Trust. The Five Dimensions of Trust are integrity, competence,
consistency and loyalty. Apply this concept to Google’s decision to reveal its diversity data in 2014 even though
it was not very favorable to Google
