“Glory”

The film “Glory” depicts the experiences of African American soldiers of the Massachusetts 54th during the American Civil War. As you watch the film pay close attention to the impact the institution of slavery had on enslaved and free African American men, as well as the similarities and differences between African American men culturally due to regional distinction in legal status. In addition, pay attention to how all African Americans are treated by their fellow Americans.
