Freedom of the Press and the Right to a Fair Trial
Every person tried for a crime in a court of law in this country has the right to a fair trial. Under the Sixth Amendment to the Constitution, that trial must be public. Under the First Amendment,
the Press enjoys freedom of press.

Do you believe that the press can have an effect on a potential jury pool thereby denying a defendant the right to a fair trial? If so, how? If not, why?
