Holistic Care incorporates the physical, social, psychological, and spiritual

aspects of clients. Thephysical aspects include daily needs and a safe

environment. Each client has their own needs that need to be met in order to

heal. Different diagnosis, (such as HIV, VRE, dementia) affect how the client

is given care. The culture of the unit influences how we care to these clients.

New nurses are shaped by the staff that has been there for years. Different

nationalities and age groups may not agree on how care for clients. How

does the nurse adapt to the culture of the unit if their beliefs about care are

different. The purpose of this assignment is to recognize how different cultures

in the health care field influence the holistic care provided to clients.
