Write a critical analysis of ONE film that we have discussed in class. Develop your own specific topic based on required readings/lectures and class discussions. You are encouraged to present your own original
understanding and discoveries of the film.
Your paper should include a thesis (i.e. a clearly articulated central argument) and be supported with two sets
of evidence: textual (the narrative, aesthetics, and formal dimensions of the film) and contextual (the specific
historical, social, and political contexts of the film).
Notes:
Provide a title for your paper.
Secondary sources from outside the class are welcome; be sure to cite your sources to avoid plagiarism.
Proofread your paper before submitting it.
Use either MLA or Chicago style for your citation.
