Film Analysis

Analyze the design choices behind a franchise film (or television episode) of your choosing in an thesis-driven paper of 900-1100 words. Your paper should be driven by a clear and cogent argument about what the film’s design concept is and how the film works to achieve that concept; you should also consider the ways that the film’s larger franchise motivates its design concept. You should support your argument with specific evidence about the film’s (and/or franchise's) use of space, boundaries and transitions, lighting, color, and set decoration, as well as specific evidence about the production designer and her/their/his concept.
