Euthyphro

In the Euthyphro, Socrates is asking Euthyphro to give a definition of piety. Read the whole dialogue. As you can easily tell, Euthyphro offers several
definitions, each of which is objected to by Socrates. In a sense, the dialogue as a whole is a dialectic (Euthyprho gives an argument, Socrates
objects, Euthyphro tries to reply, etc.).
In the body of this paper, tell what Euthyphro’s definition of piety is in 7a. What is Socrates’s objection? Then, tell how Euthyphro revises the definition
from 7a in 9e in order to accommodate Socrates’s objection. Then (and most importantly), explain Socrates’s objection to this revised definition
offered in 9e. This revised definition offers a dilemma. Which horn does Euthyphro take? (The discussion of being carried is relevant to this. You can,
but need not, make reference to it. Do NOT make reference to it unless you completely understand what is being said; otherwise, you run the risk of
making your paper difficult to understand.) What is wrong with Euthyphro’s response (look around 10d-11b). What is wrong if one took the other side
of the dilemma?
